Comedy Serial

Let's Talk About One of The Best Comedy Serial!

Mannchalay

Hum TV Drama Manchalay is written by Faiza Iftikhar, directed by Roomi Insha, produced by Momina Duraid and its main cast is Qavi Khan, Seemi Raheal, Farhan Ali Agha, Nousheen Shah, Hassan Ahmed, Eshita Mehboob, Danish Taimoor and Sanam Baloch.

It is a great comedy serial which revolves around the family of Khawaja Sahib (Qavi Khan) and Sabiha Begum (Seemi Raheal). Allah has blessed them with three sons Furqan (Farhan Ali Agha), Usman (Hassan Ahmed) and Jibran (Danish Taimoor). Khawaja Sahib is a very loving person which makes the character quite likable and at the same time he is very conservative minded which often makes for funny lines and situations.

In an emotional moment he decides to marry his sons to three sisters in order to ensure a joint family setup. Their sons Farqan and Usman get married to the two sisters Mehnaz (Nousheen Shah) and Nazia (Eshita Mehboob). Jibran gets engaged to the third sister Fiza (Mehwish Hayat). There are many differences among the two couples. The character of Nazia is very interesting, she is quite immature on the other hand her husband Usman has a serious personality, is very mature and wise. Eshita has beautifully portrayed the character of Nazia, her jokes are very interesting and unique. In an unexpected twist Fiza dies and a new girl Mithu (Sanam Baloch) enters Jibran’s life, her character is amazing and has filled the show with vibrance and color. Her entrance in Khawaja house changes the life of the other two couples by virtue of her polite nature.

The show presents a commentary on two different generations and their group dynamic. The flow of comedy is perfect and maintained from start to the end. Comprising of 109 episodes this is a must watch show that is worth its weight in gold. The viewer simply never gets bored and is always yearning for more.

Tanhaiyan Naye Sislilay

Comment on  Episode 7

It was one of the owsum episode that we had enjoyed the most. It seems that the charm of Tanhaiyan never ends.

Qabacha forced us to keep laughing during the whole episode. His last getup was really enjoyable, it was hard to resist from laughing. The credit goes to him that he always changes our mood.

Chemistry of Saniya with Zeniya and Serena is great. Their friendly coversation shows the picture of a happy and loving family. Also their relation with Aani seems good.

Scene of Qabacha's son Shamsudin al Tatmish was cute. He resembles with his father(Qabacha) in his innocent acts.
Bibi's coversation and comments on every character make the drama more enjoyable.

I like the planning of Serena about the marriage of Saniya Khala, Aani and Zeniya also agrees with her. It is our desire that this time she must marry with our favorite Qabacha.

Let's talk about the best thing of this episode, it was their sudden interaction with Guljan at Zarack khan's house. They thought Zarack kidnapped Zeniya . I must say Zarack's character is very good and different. The acting of Zarack played by Shehryar is very nice, it is a different role.

Drama is going on the right track , we hope the charm of Tanhaiyan will remain same till end.

Comment on Ek Naye Cinderella Episode 6

This episode reflects the excitment of Mesha to go to Mayor's house as it is their family tradition.

Mesha is still crazy about Mayor and she does not follow the complete instructions of Roman. But she looks cute in doing stupid things.

Their family traditions are not appreciatable, I don't know what's the  advantage of chosing a bride like this. Well Mayor has already selected her bride so this ceremony of Anchal is meaningless.

Mayor's personality is not so impressive, he has nothing except wealth. He doesn't give good  expressions.Still he is in the dark and he doesn't recognize Mesha. This shows that his feelings are not pure.

Roman's jokes and conversation with all charactors are great. With his polite and caring nature he developes friendship with Mesha's grandmother.

Roman gives many tips to Mesha but she always does her own choice. Her   attraction towards Mayor should be stopped now.

It seams that Roman's aunty has not good intensions towards Roman. Well before next episode we cannot say it so confidently.

Still waiting for the next episode.

Comment on Zindagi Gulzar Hai

Episode 1

Finally, we have watched first episode of our favorite drama "Zindagi Gulzar Hai".As we were eagerly waiting for it.

The starting of the episode is brillient. Everything is managed properly. Direction is great. All characters played their role properly, even the ordinary character does his job well.

We all liked the introduction of the story, Kashaf(Sanam Saeed)  nicely performed her character as she actually looks that she is discontent with her life. The great thing is that they are looking like a poor family who bear their expences hardly. Kahasf, her sisters and mother all were dressed simply, nobody is in heavy makeup, so thats the best thing about the drama.

Let's talk about Zaroon(Fawad Khan) and his family. Obviously Zaroon acts wonderfully, and perfectly shows the picture of high class. All the other things look good but his sister, Sara (Ayesha Omer) is true copy of  their mother. I think everyone feels pity for the guy named Farhan:)

I don't know why Farhan is going to marry such a girl who is not of his type. He wants  a girl who will do all his  work and wait for him at the door. Obviously she can't do all this as you all see her mother:)

Well, we are impressed with the start and hope for the best.

Keep watching.

Saat Pardon Main

There was something quite engaging about the promos, it seems like a conventional story and yet at the same time, is quite different as well. The serial directed by Yasir Nawaz is quite engaging in nature and supports an excellent Cast. Saat Pardon Main is on-air on Geo-TV now.

It's the story of a young girl Darakhshanday Badar who is born to a feudal family. She is adored by her father. And has an elder brother who is married and mostly lives in Islamabad. She is obsessed with a celebrity actor named Ahsan Murad. Her maid Gulabi is her confidant in this matter and the sole person responsible for misguiding her and persuading her to contact Ahsan.
Ahsan Murad like most cliche celebrities, is an egotist and morally corrupt. He is quite insensitive and has a flirty nature.

Badar Suleman, a producer and friend of Ahsan Murad is introduced as a good natured person with a serious psychological condition. Occasionally, during night he believes himself to be a woman which entails dressing up and acting like one. He is consulting a Doctor regarding this and his friendship with Ahsan is supposed to be part of his treatment.

Ahsan gives him Darakhshanday's number as he is fed-up with her calls. Complying with the Doctor's advice Badar gets in touch with her and is shocked to find out that she is in love with Ahsan. Knowing Ahsan, he realizes what a bad idea this is. He tries to disenchant her, but to no avail. He is portrayed as a caring and sensitive person with a pragmatic personality. He views Darakhshanday as an immature young girl.

Darakhshanday finds out that she is soon to be wed and tries her utmost to get out of the arrangement but fails. In the meantime Gulabi, the duplicitous maid has been having a secret affair with Darakhshanday's brother and is holding a grudge against him for insulting her (Gulabi) in front of his wife. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! Thus she convinces Darakhshanday to run away on her Mehndi night. And she does that, leaving her father a note.

Darakhshanday is basically an immature girl who is living in a fantasy world. However she is about to discover that fantasies seldom survive the brutal blows of reality.

Review and comments on Meri Behen Maya Episode 11

This episode was quite intense. Rashid finds out that Maya's father is following him so he takes Maya to his house in Lahore. He make an arrangement with Maya where she is to pretend to be his wife when they are among people while they are in Lahore. Rashid is a control freak with a sick mind, and is hell-bent on keeping Maya.
Maya is hiding from her father and Zarmeena but she really needs to find a better alternative to do so, rather than relying on possessive Rashid.

Zarmeena is still upset from her sister's disappearance and is not able to concentrate on her studies. Her reaction is of course quite natural as she can't focus in this depressing situation.

Ek Naye Cinderella

One of our most favourite and loveable play at this time, a remake of the popular fairy tail in a modern Pakistani setting. Some of the effects are quite comic in nature and give one a refreshing feel. The main character Meesha is quite innocent and at the same time wise well beyond her young age.

The Play is written by Faiza Iftikhar, known for Manchalay, Yahan Pyar Nahee Hai, and Bilqees Kaur, to name a few...

About the Plot

Meesha lives with her stepmother, two step sisters and her "granny". Meesha meets Mayer who is a wealthy and handsome man, in a carnival one day. She immediately falls for his charm, looks and wealth. That is when Romaan comes into her life, his character is quite amazing and his witty personality introduces color and life to the play. He has no wealth but a beautiful heart. He introduces himself as a Parizaad, which in all her innocence she actually believes. He offers to assist Meesha in her quest to win over Mayer's heart. Of course Romaan has the deepest of feelings for her, one can see a tragedy in the making for the poor soul....

Meesha is living in a fantasy where she is looking for a Prince Charming who will come into her life and this will solve all her troubles. She will soon realize that she does not need an idealized prince to solve her problems but a man like Romaan who has a loving and caring nature and is human enough to be loved. Mehr (Saba Hameed) who our Meesha's stepmother wishes Mayer to marry her elder daughter and sees Romaan as en eligible candidate for her younger daughter.

Since the play is currently on air, we are waiting to see what Meesha will do next. How will she finally get disenchanted from Mayer's charm. How she will discover her feelings for the lovable underdog Romaan and accept that he is her one true soul-mate... :)
